War-Torn: The Story of "Dobie" Gillies
War-Torn is a story of the life of Lynn Gillies. He joined the US Army at an early age and after serving for about 10 years, he became a helicopter pilot prior to being sent to Vietnam. During Vietnam, his heroic actions saved a group of US Marines, but he has lived with the traumatic experiences of that day and countless other experiences during his time at war. This documentary will hopefully serve as a beacon of hope for those struggling with PTSD and show them that they are not alone and that there is help out there.

Even if you have good intentions, when you stop to help someone, you never know when they will be mutants that end up killing you.
This is a short film that I had to do for my cinematography 1 class. I had to come up with a story and shoot it all in one continuous shot. This was filmed with a Canon 5D Mark IV, edited in Premiere Pro, with some effects done in After Effects. Makeup was done by Noa Cassidy of Cassidy FX Studios.
